Hey pretty girl! I am Lex Kanode and I am so glad you are here! This blog is a safe space where you are prayed for, encouraged, and (hopefully!) inspired to tap into your God-given purposes and be the amazing woman God has created you to be!

Friends –

This was always a challenge for me. Now, if you are anything like me, you have been a dreamer all your life. You are someone who dreams of being an entrepreneur, or having the ability to use your creativity on the job without limitations, or you want to be a writer, or, if you are like my cousin, you dream of being on Broadway.

So many of us are HUGE dreamers, so why do so many of us end up squandering our dreams to live an ordinary, okay life? Well..let’s look at some of the primary excuses I see from people who aren’t following their dreams:

  1. I’M TOO BUSY. – I’d hate to call you on your bluff, but you’re not too busy. How much time do we spend scrolling social media, watching influencers live out their dreams? Check your phone and let me know what your average screen time is and then come back and let me know if you are still too busy.
  2. SOMEONE ELSE IS BETTER. – Friend! I felt this way for the LONGEST time. Ugh. It’s a terrible feeling isn’t it? Why do it because someone else is already out there doing whatever I want to do WAY better than I ever could. I just want to say that this is NOT from God. This is from the enemy. The enemy comes to steal and destroy, and sometimes he destroys and squanders things before we can even start them by getting into our heads and telling ourselves we aren’t good enough. Please know that God made you perfectly who you are and He made you that way for a reason! If you have something on your heart that you feel you are meant to do, that was put there by God! Please don’t let the enemy chase you away from your calling.
  3. I’M SCARED. – This one goes along very closely with the last one. Fear is not from God unless it is a righteous fear of God Himself. If you are afraid of following your dreams, that again is the enemy working to put your flame out.

Let’s work together to ensure we are following our purpose and pursuing our God-given dreams. If your answer falls within number 2 or 3, then please click here! I will soon be launching a course all about overcoming your fear and stepping into the woman God has created you to be! It is sure to be a wonderful course! Sign up for my email list here and you will be one of the first to know when the course officially goes LIVE!

Also, there are new blog posts up every single week to help encourage you, bring you closer to our wonderful Creator, and help you step into your God-given purposes, so come on back here every week for more!

Therefore…let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” – Hebrews 12:1
